It’s always a good time to “fine tune” your marriage—and you can’t pick a more beautiful location. 

 

This is a chance to become better acquainted with the other Christian couples in our class.  There will be a time of teaching and devotions, free time to explore the coast, and most of all, time with your spouse. 

 

Come prepared to learn more about your mate and grow closer together and to have FUN! 

 

Each spacious condo has two bedrooms, two private baths, and a fully equipped kitchen.   We will be assigning folks into groups of two condos as  “Meal Partners” — that will be 4 couples (2 condos in each group) cooking together.  If you know another couple you would like to “room with”, you both need to indicate it on the registration form.  I’ll do the grouping of the condos which will ensure that couples get to meet some new friends.  

 

Meal planning will be for breakfast, lunch and dinner on Saturday and breakfast and lunch on Sunday.  Everyone is on their own for dinner on Friday and Sunday.  You may want to go out to eat on Saturday night.

 

You will know who the other couples are well in advance of the weekend to allow time for meal planning and arranging the purchasing of your food.   Save your receipts!  The couples eating together will need their receipts in order to split up the cost of the food.

Saturday afternoon will be free time.  There are lots of things to see and do on the island.

Saturday night we’ll have a devotional and teaching time followed by a time of fellowship.

 Sunday morning we’ll have our own church service.  Following lunch and checkout, you’ll be on your own to head home or spend the afternoon in the area.

 

Who can go?             Members of the 2008 Marriage Intimacy Classes and Marrieds Sunday School Class.

 

Where are we going?   Port Royal is an ocean resort condominium complex located on the beach at Mustang Island at Port Aransas. 

 

Where will we stay?    Beautiful, spacious and fully equipped 2 bedroom condominiums.

 

When can we check-in?   Check-in begins at 4:00 p.m. on Friday afternoon.

 

How do we get there?      Drive your own car or carpool with friends.  Maps will be provided.  It is 180 miles from the Airport to Port Royal which on the beach about 4 miles south of Port Aransas.

 

What do we wear?     Dress will be casual.  You may want to bring your swimsuit since there is a huge pool, several hot tubs and the Gulf.

 

Where will we eat?     You will be fixing or buying all your meals.  Each condo has a fully furnished kitchen.  We will group 2 condos together (4 couples) for meals. You choose what you want to eat and split up cooking responsibilities.  You’ll all then split the cost of the food.

 

Will there be time for other activities?    Saturday afternoon is open time.  Activities available include horseback riding on the beach, beach walking, and couch potatoing.  There are also tennis courts, a huge pool and hot tubs on the property.

 

What will it cost?     The cost for your room will be approximately  $150 per couple for the weekend - you can’t beat that price for 2 nights at the coast!!    Food costs depend on what you want to eat and where you want to go out to eat on Saturday night if you want to eat out.

What is the cancellation refund Policy?    If  you have to cancel  after Sunday, October 21, $75.00 of the cost will  be  forfeited since we will be financially/contractually committed to Port Royal unless someone else signs up late and “takes your reservation”.
